Just got back to the office from serving on a panel for the MasterWorks Festival. This annual, Indiana-based arts program brings young artists from a variety of disciplines together to grow their skills. The theater program starts in Indiana and finishes up with a week in New York to see shows, do programs like the breakfast/discussion I took part in and to perform. Really cool.
What was even more cool was listening to the panel of high achievers in TV, theater, film, PR, theater journalism . . . even agents talk about the need for excellence, for perseverance and for a willingness to do seemingly menial jobs well. And doing all of that while remaining true to who you are.
The kids were eating it up . . . and so was I. Came away inspired.
