Any writer of any kind can take heart from Nobel Prize winner Saul Bellow, who said, "Most of the time I do nothing. I waste most of my time in daydreaming, in drawing faces on pieces of paper. I do it by the hour before I can finally begin my day of writing." It's no excuse not to do your writing, but it sure feels good to know one of America's greatest writers struggled just like I do. (Thanks to Jerry Panas and his book Making the Case for this quote.)
